I used online in 2023 and switched to software to save money. I had two returns to file. I'm not sure why your online offering is 4X more expensive by the time I file. I was also surprised to find that at least one of the forms, form 709, was not available in the software AND when I attempted to find it, there was no message saying it was unsupported. You should sell both platforms for the same price, and if not, include AI linkage in the software version.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Find it hard to use. Difficult to see where some numbers came from, example is on foreign tax credit the program decided it came from 24k income. I never figured out how it came up with that number. Also it was hard to correct data errors.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
