I had some trouble entering data for a property I sold and directions of where to go for assistance were hard to locate. It took too long and involved an extensive search. Also, the was some problem with entering Misc. income. I correctly entered the amount where the program asked for it, but upon the last step where the program indicates problems, I had to enter it into the form.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast

Some Glitches

My sole proprietorship receives a very small royalty for published music. This year it was only $25. At one point my H&R Block software insisted I had more than a $5000 loss because of this royalty– and I did NOT enter it as a rental. Not sure how I finally fixed this problem, but it was very frustrating & time consuming. I understand taxes quite well– I was a CFP at one time. So I expect tax preparation software to be logical and clear.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked well as usual. My only suggestion is that you allow us to bypass the deduction questions if we already know we won't be able to itemize under the new tax law. I had to go through and manually delete those questions based on last year's return. Next year if I am able to itemize, I hope I will be able to bring them up again.

Too many "professional" reviewers out there doing it for profit. Usually, if you hear from me it will be to fix an issue.
It Worked as advertised: the explanations were succinct, the instructions easy to follow; the procedure forced me to gather all the necessary information into a useable package to fill in the blanks. IRS taxes doable by the layman.

I had entered an incorrect AGI and Both federal and State were denied. I corrected the # and the Federal was confirmed, but the State wanted me to pay a second time for submission.
