Software works well, used it for about 20 years, I just wish taxes weren’t so complicated that I needed this. I also wish it had a dark mode, taxes already bleed me of money, they need to make my eyes bleed too?

I bought for this season in that TurboTax had glitches last year (i.e. would not let me download another state where I had farm rent). HR Block while good is not quite as user friendly. At the end of the day it worked for me and I filed as expected.
Pros: Easy to import documents

I have been using H&R Block from the very beginning. When it was Kiplinger's Tax Cut. Every year it has improved. It makes my life filing taxes so easy, especially in more complicated cases. My only ask, not everything carries forward and I do not understand. There are cases where during the audit it will identify a missing data point from the previous year that is required and I have to pull up my previous year's return then open the "whole form" and manually input the information.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
