I have had an awful time with H&R Block. They stated that even though I answered their questions honestly, I should have known my states laws better and it is not their fault. Stay away!
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

This tax software is excellent. Very intuitive yet comprehensive. Continuous updates make it solid and current. My only complaint is that it does not let you e-file more than the included 5 returns. I am willing to pay for additional e-filings but I am not allowed.

I filed my return electronically which the software ermitted me to do and then 2 weeks after I filed my HR Block tax return was altered to a lower refund without explanation or what I was supposed to do. On the NY State return for my Grandson the software gave him a tuition credit when he was not entitled to one.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I did an e-file and provided driver license info and PIN numbers for me and my wife, yet the IRS delayed my return and issued a Notice 5071C requiring further confirmation that I was the one who submitted the tax return. H&R take notice of this issue to prevent return delays for future customers. It caused about a month delay in getting my return.
