I have been using this for many years with great success.
Got a really good offer on the competitor's software a few years back. Well, you get what you pay for. I always manually check my return before submitting; During that review I discovered a $5000 error in the IRS favor on the return using the competitor's software. Was unable to make corrections so purchased H&R Block software to complete my taxes that year.
I still always check my return and it has always been correct using H&R Block software. It is the only software I would recommend to family and friends.

I've used the H&R Block software for at least 20 years & have been very happy overall. They do seem to improve the functionally as time goes on (& tax codes get more complicated)... there are only a few times (usually special/odd entries) when I have had issues getting where I need to go. This is usually in the 'Final Review' process, & can take a little longer to get an item corrected. It will take you to what you need to look at, but no clear instructions on the problem or how/where to enter the right info, sometimes...
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
