I am loyal HR customer for 10 years and never going to purchase again in future. You had server issues from Apr-14 to Apr-15 6PM. I went through lot of anxiety
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
The software update in my opinion were late in being released. I also don't like the fact that you don't include a copy of the software on a CD.

Big problem: with the filing-portal down on tax-day, I had to continuously try to submit my returns by going through all of the steps and questions related to filing/ID/Credit card payment/ and last-minute attachments that the software did not ask for during the preparation steps -- only asked for at the submission steps. STUPID.
I have used this for years. I have tried other tax software and have found this the easiest to use and provides the least financial hit, often providing a refund. The biggest downside is the limited ability to import data, in my case from Baird, Social Security, and the State of Michigan.
I have used H&R Block Premium for several years and it does the job providing you pay attention to small details. The questionnaire portion of the program is sometimes confusing and hard to follow, and I often feel it's lacking in detail.
If you have used H&R Block tax software in the past you are likely to be okay. If you are coming from another software platform make sure you double and triple check your work.
The consistently poor product is the state software. The interview sometimes throws you into just the state tax form to enter numbers. The problem is without doing a bit of digging it's hard to know what information is needed.
Finally, to electronically file state taxes requires a hefty price. In my case it's a LOT cheaper to simply print off the return(s) and mail them to the state. It would be very nice if state filing was included in the price.
I only bought the premium to see if it would handle PDP K1's and it DID NOT and a waste of money. Will switch to Turbo Tax next year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
