This income tax program is very easy to use and very detailed. However, this year has problem to directly input 1099-B from the financial company. Only half the transaction were transferred.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

Couldn't submit taxes online to hr block server issue. Had to print and mail taxes in the 11th hour. Clearly no contingency planning on the part of hr. Wont rely on them again.

I've used this for years as TurboTax was getting more expensive. It has always worked fine. This year had problems with instructions for some fields relating to LLCs. But the real problem this year was that H&R Block's system was having problems submitting returns from desktop tax software. This problem started in the afternoon on Sunday April 14 and continued until Monday April 15 afternoon. I was preparing to pay the late payment but was able to transmit my return eventually. Not sure if I'll buy H&R Block software next year or not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
