Mostly fine, but got double billed for filing charges because the first time I filed software ran into connection issues. Couldn’t connect to the IRS and state tax servers, but still managed to connect to the billing software. When I resubmitted I had to pay the filing fees again, even though it things did not file the first time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Couldn’t file through you because your network was down. Lost nearly 100 for an unused product and was not allowed a refund.

Trying to deal with minimum required distributions of retirement accounts is unclear and difficult. I had to manually override several entries to avoid paying tax on money I didn't receive and didn't NEED to withdraw. That SHOULD have been 'automatic' on entry of the 1099s. It seems you could have done that with knowing our ages and the amounts in the retirement accounts.
That coupled with the 'snafu' in filing on the deadline made this years experience even more painful than usual. What compensation do you intend to offer?
Those complications, coupled with the increase in price makes this year's release a 'poor value' and your continued lobbying to prevent 'automatic filing' like so many other countries have is unworthy of a 'moral' company. My taxes are complicated enough that I'm likely to continue to want software help, but for 90+% of taxpayers with W-2s and 1099s and that's it, they should NOT be forced to buy something to pay what they have to pay.

This is excellent product but need to provide better instructions in some case, also I notice that the links you use to IRS publications, schedules, and forms are no longer there. Also, it would be nice to provide clearer instructions on what one can do to help reduce one's tax liability.
Fairly simple & easy to use, with fairly easy to find useful advice...really does think of options & contingencies ahead for you, then guides you through it all very well. So while not perfect, it's great overall...way better than Turbo Tax, which is complicated, error-prone. lacks proper data any real tax software should keep track of, and has little useful advice even when hidden & using their expensive expert assistance. I needed no assistance nor experienced these issues with H&R Block software. Took me just hours to complete H&R Block return with a house sale & number of investments, something that would take darn near forever with Turbo Tax, many frustrating days with no resolution for parts of it and return left in limbo.

I been a long-time customer, but!, this year No download for E-TRADE, Duh! call about it and was told to type it in by hand, no fun.. then when I try to send return to the federal on the last day it failed. after 2 hours of trying, I printed mine & my son's and mailed. Not Happy
Purchased because lowest price for schedule c.. charged me to file extension, even though 5 free files were included. Tried to charge me twice for state module
