A bit buggy

I've used the H&R Block programs for many years. I bought the premium version this time because I now have rental income and don't know how to file it. The program walked me through it, it was a bit confusing but I think it's ok. The biggest problem I had was transferring data to the state programs. Having moved last year, I have to divide my income between the two states. It's crystal clear on my W2's, but the federal program seemed to not transfer things to the state programs correctly, so now there are errors I don't know how to fix. Luckily I will get refunds, so it's ok to be late while I figure this out. But I really don't want to delay my refunds to figure out what the tax program should be doing for me.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although Im not a huge fan of TurboTax, this seems inferior in every way.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

A waste of $$$. Ended up having to print and mail with Certified Mail to confirm date of submission of file. The program would not allow me to correct an error for which IRS denied filing!

I have been using H&R Block tax software since the 1991 filing edition when it was better known as Kiplinger's TaxCut. I believe in the product and that's why I keep using it, but the support for filing all but the most basic State Tax Return has become poor. Even simple things, like filing for an EV credit is simply not supported. This isn't a big deal when you are only filing in one state, but very disappointing when you need to file in multiple states and have to buy the additional states just to find out that the form you need to file is simply not supported.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the first year I've ever had trouble e-filing. It failed, or appeared to fail, no less than 8 times. I just recoding an email stating "you've successfully submitted your 2023 federal return " but, odd thing, I hadn't tried to send it through in quite some time. I DO hope this doesn't fall back on me in a negative way.
