terrible to use for anyone had experienced the online version of Tax product. You need to pay for state even though it marks state in the cover. The state is only for using them to calculate your tax. You still need to pay for the filling. If you are married, you need to pay twice. I almost feel this is a scam. While you use it, you feel like you live in 1950.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
Clunky and dishonest pricing (making state efile an add on after purchase), but cheaper than TurboTax.

HR Block Helps Again This Year

For over twenty years, HR Block's tax software has walked me through the process of reporting my employment, investment, rental property, and retirement income. While each year's income categories and deductions are similar to the previous year, their tax software makes me aware of new features in the tax law which have frequently lowered my taxes. It's a good product, well worth the price.
The software guides the user through creating the tax return and filing it about as easily as it is possible to do. The tax laws are extremely complex and the software appears to interpret them correctly. When I had a problem I was helped quickly and efficiently by customer service. There were two things I couldn't do with the software. I couldn't download 1099 forms directly into the program, and apparently there is no provision for estimating state estimated tax payments for the following year.
Have been a long time user of PC version. Very disappointed. Some data did not transfer to proper fields. Not reliable, will not use again and definitely would not recommend.
The H&R Block tax software is thorough and complete. It is a great choice for simple and complex tax returns. Even if you have never tackled depreciation before, the H&R Block tax software is a breeze.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
