I'd probably use something else if you have a Mac.

The software kept crashing as I entered data in on my MacBook Air as I entered stock sales. I lost a lot of time re-entering data. Eventually I used the Save shortcut after every entry.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For a tax program, H&R block is fairly easy to use. I have investments and rentals and was able to add everything fairly easily through step by step instructions. The validations at the end are great too to help reduce errors.

All good but I would have liked easier scrolling on a touch screen, ability to change font size. Easier printing out of a cc of the final returns that looked like the printed copy.

I've used H&R Block software for the last few years and have been satisfied with it. I'm not sure how it compares with Turbo Tax. It would be interesting to do a comparison. Also, it would be better without the state filing fee.

I miss the ability to file my school district income tax. The software allowed me to do that last year but this year I had to use other software. That was a major inconvenience for me.
