i BOUGHT THIS AS SOON AS IT WAS AVAILABLE. tHE COMPLEXITIES OF K-1s AND FORM 116 FOREIGN TAXES WAS CHALLENGING EVEN WITH THE SOFTWARE.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked with Windows 7 Pro !!

This software is NOT certified to run on Windows 7 but i had no choice other than to try it. It worked just fine for me. During the final check it found an issue. It was a little puzzling to solve but it worked out in the end. Still worth 5 stars for doing self-employed taxes !
Pros: Maximizes refund

Filing joint fed and separate state?

Can't do it! The software will not allow you to e-file a separate state income tax return unless you first file a separate federal return. If you file a joint 1040 but have to file a separate state return you'll waste your free state download because you'll have to go to your state's web site to file the separate tax return and some states require they be filed electronically, so printing and mailing is not really a help.
Pros: Easy to import documents

Couldn't e-file my federal return because form 8888 wasn't e-file eligible. I had to override a line on form 1040 to get the form 8888 to print.

Extremely painful

First my employer gave me a new laptop, and the Block programs did not migrate over. Had to purchase this TWICE, and use my daughter's laptop to do taxes....could not ever find my account to redownload what I had paid for the first time...then taxes: Dozens of field restricted workshsheets, In trying to fix problems they create 3 new with each move. And no warning that we would have to pay back CTC and EIP at the very end before we file. That was a kick to the teeth.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

TOO MANY GLITCHES

I have bought this program for several years. This years program is full of glitches and the support for it is awful. The program keeps spontaneously shutting down, the deduction pro does not work. The techs have no clue on their software and keep referring to the local store to fix. When its a software issue they should fix it. The response then becomes, go into the local store and have them do the taxes since the program doesn't work.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Frustrating experience

It kept shutting down unexpectedly, doesn't save the data that's been entered and took multiple attempts to get it to file. Not intuitive at all,
Cons: Time consuming
