Better than TurboTax

I used TurboTax for years. This year I could not successfully download TurboTax and the customer service representative was unsuccessful in assisting with the download. I went to H&R Block, downloaded the Mac version with no problem and found it easier to prepare my tax return with H&R Block than with TurboTax. I am a convert to H&R Block and will never go back to TT.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Fast

Very disappointed this year that even though I bought the premium to get the free state filing also, I have found out that they no longer provide the Hawaii state estimated taxes for next year and the necessary vouchers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wish you'd put the old details back in such as the list of expense possibilities in a list form to choose from. Had to go into the actual form to find them. Not everyone would know to do that.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to fix issues, Hard to import

Promises but dosn't Deliver

Disappointed in Premium Tax Software, it advertises “software support for Partnership and LLC tax Returns” but lacks clarity in transferring the data from 1065-K1 to the proper 1040 forms! It support is no different than the Deluxe version-very poor!!

HR Block Software was Excellent

I've used HR Block software for at least 6 years. It always changes but I thought the 2017 software worked very well. Instructions were clear and recovery from an input error was easy.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import

Unable to e-file

I have used Kiplinger Tax Cut/HR Block for 15 to 20 years and have always been able to e-file since that feature became available. IRS would not accept my return this year. The HR Block program did not provide any actionable information on what the errors were and how to correct.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import
Cons: Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
