works well with returns with income form IRA and 401K distributions and other investment income - data input guidance is superb. Only downside was wit handling of Indian returns with issues around using prior refund to prepay next year taxes

My self employed daughter and I have used this software for years. This year, I have to downgrade it. I ordered it online, it didn’t arrive, and even with the extended time to file, it was getting close. Stores were out of the software so I called and the rep emailed one. I finished mine that day but when my daughter got home from work, it said we had already maxed out on number of returns allowed.
On the positive side , the program is easy to use and give an “audit alert” if there is something that looks like odd.

I've been using H&R Block tax software for about 27 years now, including the various versions/brands that preceded it (Tax Cut, Kiplinger, etc.). It's consistently bug free, is very easy to use, is backed by H&R Block (so if you get audited, they help, though I've never needed support nor have I ever been audited). I have rental property and other complex stuff and it makes it easy, like answering a questionnaire.
