It is usually more up to date than turbo tax. The 2021 version gave me a Government payment that I was not entitled to. I don’t know why.

Paid for the Premium because it claimed to handle K-1 forms for me. That was false. There was no downloading of K-1 and automatic entry and calculation. I had to do everything manually. I addition I now have multiple IRS letters that disagree with Block's calculations.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

The software was fine, but I was disappointed that after being a loyal H&R Block software user for decades, I never received any offers to use the software again for 2021. The company ought to reward, or at least acknowledge, loyalty.

I've used H&R Block tax preparation software for many years. Even through some complicated tax issues, it has worked flawlessly. Every so often, I try other packages but always end up using H&R Block. My favorite thing about the H&R Block software is that you can directly edit individual tax forms, should you need to. It's easy to use and walks you through step-by-step.
