It either works or doesn't. This year it screwed me up in several ways: -Illinois software cannot handle K-1 forms line by line -Software screws up and merges all royalty input if you delete one input -In Amending submitted taxes, poor instructions on IL that say to go somewhere that doesn't exist -State software is coordinated with federal, but not at all coordinated between states -when input in one place changes input in another place, you should warn people and explain -you get warnings on K-1 forms, but no explanation of what the problem is - I forget the other problems, but they happen when you have more than one state
Using this program the 2nd year was even better than the first year, because all previous information is 'remembered' and listed. This speeded things up. And I have confidence that we haven't overlooked anything. The accuracy review at the end was very reassuring.
The tax code is beyond the common man's ability to navigate so the government has colluded with the software industry to force us to use their product to file what. this at least makes compliance possible.

Pretty easy to use. Does most everything for a small operations. Saves data for next year. Could be selective on which tax forms it imports, I ended up with doubles and had to figure out how to delete them.
