W have used H&R Block's program for many years without a hitch. This is the first you we encountered what seemed to be a problem with the program in the Home Office subject where it appeared to work differently than previous years for reasons we could not figure out. It disallowed our home office expenses. It could have been our understanding, a change in the tax law, lack of clarity in the program's prompt as to why, or simply a bug. Somthing we never able to sort out with some basic research.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Moved over from TurboTax, and found H&RB a bit more difficult to navigate. But all the essentials are there and useable. Wish there were a few more 'help tips' to assist non-accountant types like me. Many were just too much gobbledigook.

Easy to use and very helpful in filing my taxes which had complications from rental property. Wouldn't think about doing my taxes without it. Less expensive than a cpa to help with it, although i would recommend doing that once in a while. Last time i used H&R and then a cpa to check it, i had confidence in H&R block since the cpa did not find any errors or any improvements.
