This was my first year to use the software. Overall it was very easy to use, especially considering dealing with 2020, being self-employed and having some unemployment $$ in the mix with my wife. If I had a question I simply Googled it and came up with the answers. I would highly recommend it!

Efile didn't work. SSL error. I eorked with hrb chat for hours. I removed security, I changed proxy, I reinstalled. Nothing worked. Why bother with product if efile doesn't work?
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

With the proper updates, even if you don’t necessarily know all the in’s and outs; the program, will help you get through and help you understand the possibilities. It’s easy to navigate from beginning to end.

Couldn't find a place to list prior depreciation for assets that had been placed in service several years ago. Also may have missed a box but had to delete a 1099-R that went on the line for pension when it should have been an IRA. Also had to delete that as well. If I didn't know a lot this would have not been able to do what I did.

The tax program is reasonable simple for most of the tax filer, but some areas may need more explanation as it is not very clear in tell what need to fill. However, it is easier to find someone off-line to help out the tax filing and it is a big plus.

You pay once to get the software which includes 'free' e-file to fed, but e-file to state costs extra. Please, just charge me once and include everything a regular person would need to get this task done.
In several places, it asks a seemingly simple question. I answer. Several pages later, I have to fill out the detailed form and I realize I answered the original question incorrectly. Then I can't figure out how to get back to change my original answer. Ideally, the software would make all implications of a question obvious up front, so I just answered the question correctly the first time. Additionally, if and when I do have to go back to change an answer, make it EASY to find the original question.
Doing taxes is ridiculously complex. Ideally, tax code would be easy, but it isn't; so I resort to buying software to make it easier. This software did not help me much.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
