Software was easy to use, updates took longer than normal to be available, but new laws/changes were later in 2020/2021 than usual.

The program is not as easy to use as it was in earlier years, it's harder to navigate back and forth, there's no CD. I've used the program for probably 20 years, but will likely change next year.

The software is easy to use and the interview process helps you determine what needs to be listed or not. There also the easy of finding helpful notes about tax laws. The only thing I see that needs to be improved is the ability to reload the software if for some reason your program is corrupted on your PC or if your PC fails and has to be replaced.

Not as smooth as some other tax prep software. There isn't much help as you step through each section, and visually, it's presented as a long list of stuff. The thick client has few customizations to make it easier to work with. It got the job done, but it doesn't feel like a polished, friendly product. If other tax packages are soft and easy on the eyes, this one is like a fluorescent light. H&R made little effort to make the tax process any less tedious.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
