I have been using H&R Block Premium software for several years. It is easy to use and able to handle all my needs, including self-employment and rental income. I would highly recommend it.

Using the software gives me confidence that I am not missing something and I can get answers from their Help Center when I have had questions. What I have NOT liked is the "behind the scenes" calculations that can occur, especially with complicated taxes like ours. It is difficult to search out the info that went into a specific number showing up on the forms. Not impossible, especially if I am reading the 1040 information alongside, but difficult. I like to understand the "why" behind the numbers, especially since I have to figure out estimated taxes, too. Another, maybe minor problem, but irritating is that after purchasing and downloading a 2nd state tax software, the very next page said that I didn't need to file this state because my state has a reciprocity agreement. Wasted money and no way to refund since the purchase is non-refundable. The page about reciprocity should have come BEFORE purchasing, or there should have been a warning prior to purchase. I will continue to use this software because it is the best for my needs, but I wish there was an alternative.

We've been using H&R Block software for about 10 years now. It transfers previous years information over, and very easy to use and navigate. Have never had an issue.

Doesn’t integrate with Wealthfront. Thinking about switching to TurboTax for next year to avoid the frustration.

I am happy with the program, I used it last year, and all the information pulled correctly .
However, I paid extra for the cd. It said it could take up to 5 weeks, but it took 8 weeks to recieve. I had the taxes done, before I ever recieved the cd.
I am more comfortable with a cd, then downloading.
Please mail the cds in a more timely manner.
