I have been using this software for over 20 years and have had no problems. The cost is reasonable and the use is very easy with help notes to explain what you need to enter. Once you use this software, it automatically updates you forms from last years and can import your current information from your financial institutions. I like to do the updates myself since I get my data sent to me and it is a change the numbers from last year to this year which gives me a mini review of how I am doing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

As an accountant offering cost efficient federal and tax returns, I use H&R Block tax software. It has been my choice since 2017. I find the software to be comprehensive, succinct, error free and user friendly. I like the risk calculator and notification of issues to be fixed. If you are a first time user, be patient, learn the forms and placement in the return. You will become more knowledgeable and confident in your entries. I will continue using the software in the future without hesitation.

Even if you are not an expert, the H&at Block product asks so many questions it will guide you through the whole process. This is my 3rd year using it satisfied.

Perhaps easier to use than Turbotax, but had great difficulty in uploading the update and without the updates one would file. The help feature is somewhat worthless. I tried all of the suggested ways to upload the update given in the Q&A, to absolutely no avail. What overr 40 minutes to chat with on-line help, and was told to retry the Q&A methods again - another couple hours wasted. Went back to chat on-line, waited 26 minutes explained my problems and was finally sent a new version of the HRBlock Premium software link. Following loading the newer software everything worked fine, but I wasted an extra four hours of my time trying to get my return filed.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
