This program was great for me as a retired CPA. It was more of a logical tax preparation program than a multiple question and answer program.

Diminished functionality from last year

Couldn't draw up the field attached note, whatever it is called.
the one assigned to a line such as "charity'; then total the amounts for each charity and it totals for the 1040 entry.

Could find that feature throughout; and used it maybe once.
hence, I say that useful tool is not as functional as in years past.

A serious challenger for TurboTax

This is my second year using H&R Block. It has fixed all the bugs and typos from last year, at least in my filing. It costs less than TurboTax, so I will use it again.

Could not e-file

Worst experience, because there was no way to scan the Contemporaneous written acknowledgment and there was not 1098-c I was forced to mail return. NYS would not accept a mail in and wanted only to e-file.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
