I think the search function could be improved. If the taxpayer doesn't know the formal IRS name for something, it can be difficult to find help on topics.
I have used HR Block software for more than 10 years, and find it very useful. In some cases where the auto guide is confusing, the click on help usually works for me. One minor problem with the self operated business section for 2019 is that it does not allow one to access the Schedule C part IV entries to enter other expenses and identify same. I had to open the Schedue C form to complete this. Aside from that, I am very pleased.
There are parts that need better explanation. Tried help and it was worthless since it did not give any new info. The test at the end kept showing items that did not apply, if they did I would have entered the info when it came up. All in all I did NOT find this as user friendly as Turbo Tax which I had used in previous years.
The software prompts you regarding each entry you might need to make, really helpful. The tool will not let you forget anything. I wish that if I went back to something, I didn't have to click all the way through to the end again, instead of being able to just skip to the end. But overall it is super helpful.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

The problem arose in the 2018 product when the module was updated in March, 2019. The problem has been carried forward to the 2019 product
