Used this program for close to 20 years. Tried a competitor's twice. Prefer the flow of this program. Start with a year's worth of paper.when I get to the end, magically there's nothing left in the box. The firm I have my and my wife's IRAs will give me the competitor's program for free. Tried it. No thanks..

Noticeably Improvement in H&R Block 2019 Software

I have been using H&R for many years, and usually encountered various glitches and problems. To my surprise, this 2019 met all my expectation, and thus saved me a lot of time.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

This software makes completing your taxes quite simple and straightforward. I've been using it for years, and have used the other product as well. I much prefer this one, the way it's set up, carries forward your information from the previous year, explains things when you want some clarification. My Federal return this year was accepted within 20 minutes, and my State return about a half hour later.

I had several issues with the software where I had to delete things and read add them. One was the tuition section. It had my birthday and not my daughter's birthday on the form, however I wasn't allowed to change the form and it wasn't even a choice in the tuition section. I had to delete the whole section and go back and add a new tuition deduction again. I'm guiding I originally selected my name from the drop down accidentally, but once you change the person name, it didn't repull their information. A little worried there are other issues. I had to do the same thing in extra income section. It doesn't make it easy to go back and update things. (For example if you get another form in the mail. I have to go back through the whole thing.) Even letting you edit the forms would be an improvement.
