I started using this program way back in the 80s when it was just called Taxcut and it has never let me down and the program has continued to remain easy to use. I tell everyone to use it and that you can count on it to do the best job for you. No matter how complicated your return my be, they have a version that fits your needs and it will walk you through the process with easy questions that you need to answer.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Overall great program and easy to use. Year-to-year use imports last year's data making it even easier. Support for self employed is also great. Only complaint is that sometimes rationale/explanation for entries is a little weak, requiring a search for IRS regs or scouring the forms to understand if it applies to you.

Program is pretty easy - some of the explanation for things is too vague. I still had to go to google to see what they were or if I qualified for them. So their help center has to have different simplified language and more examples for the every day person!

I imagine tax software is difficult to build in a bug-free way. HR Block software does have some user-interface and user-journey glitches and imperfections: they are not likely glitches that affect the legality or efficacy of a return, but they do detract from a taxpayer being able to strategically optimize their deductions and tax scenario. That said, I use it, have for years, and may again in the future.

I have used H&R Block software for three years now, and I really like it. It is easy to use, very thorough, and data from my previous tax returns are easily uploaded. I have a personal business, and the tax software handles that beautifully. I highly recommend this software and plan to keep using it.

I have been using this product for almost 25 years and I must say "TaxCut" is probably the best program I have ever purchased. It just works. Easy install, easy updates, easy to import your data, easy to enter data and easy to transmit your data.

I've had four-star luck in past years, but this year my investment data would not import from the company and I had to enter it all manually. I always have to enter SE Social Security/farm info manually, as the program doesn't include that exclusion in the walkthrough. This year, also, there was an update issue with RMD part of program that caused me to have to wait awhile to file. I like the user-friendly price, but these issues lessened my confidence.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
