Not the most user friendly

I used the program after making a call to make sure I picked the correct version of your product. I needed to have a full service on Schedule K and was told on the phone this product would do that. It did work for the most part but I have two issues. One is it did not completely fill out the Schedule K as I had liked part of it said it did not service some items and I would have to do it my self. Second was when I sent the return in it was rejected for an error I made. I was not able to resend the document once I fixed my error with out calling the help desk and was given a new code to submit. Not happy about that.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Software Really Going Downhill

I've used H&R Block tax software for over 20 years. This was the 2nd year in which I am at a loss as to what happened to it. I switched to Mac nearly 5 years ago and it always seems the software isn't updated on the Mac platform as fast as it is for Windows. The software is incomplete & is buggy. For the 2nd year, I've followed the steps in the order its been presented and it seems to always tell me now that the item entered is in the wrong field, resulting in an error at the end and less money in my return for the error in THEIR program. I could see it happening once, but two years in a row now? Oh, and due to another error in their software, the IRS rejected my e-file because of the way the program was written to handle e-filing. So I had to wait an extra week past the time the Windows version was updated to get the Mac update.
My daughter had to file an amended return and had to wait for the software to update before she could send it out due to DRAFT being written all over the page, blocking out some of the numbers so she couldn't transfer by hand to a clean printout of the 1040X from the IRS site. The software said there would be an update on the 20th of February, which there was, and allowed me to finally retransmit my return without error, but apparently the 1040X fix would be in another, yet unknown update. It directs you to their website to check, but there's nothing for the 2019 software updates, just 2018 & prior.
Get your act in gear for Mac's H&R Block, or else this customer of over 20 years will look elsewhere. And just to add, you can't tell this review exactly what the cons are of the software as they have premade pros and cons already there, with no way to add any that you may have encountered like me.

Cons: Buggy, error-filled, expensive, not worth the amount it costs, frustratingly slow for updates, won't update everything you need at once, etc.
