Fell Short of Expectations

Compared to previous years versions, this year's tax software was a huge disappointment. I nearly gave up and bought a competitor's product. It failed to accurately import some fields from forms that previously were flawless, new questions were at times ambiguous, and it did not import all information from a previous year's return using HRB software. I wasted a lot of time looking back through previous years' documents and software.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Placing legal liability in junky software

Software requires me to submit a supplemental statement to document home improvement expenses but does not provide a means to attach it to e-file. Support is non-existent unless you pay more $
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the Federal return was great but the Arizona software was confusing and lacking forms. It said I could not file electronically because I needed a form they did not include. In the end I had to print it out and then put it in an envelope and mail it to the state. Very annoying!
