My federal return was rejected and the program was no help in figuring out why. I determined though the H&R Block Community that there was a glitch in the program and I wasn't going to be able to e-file my federal return. When I went to print my return, I found that the formatting was messed up and I am now having to figure out how to fix it. Also getting answers from H&R Block is not convenient. I should have been done with this weeks ago.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Taxes were not paid

I filled out all the credit card info but still got a letter from the IRS that my taxes are not paid. Now I owe fees. Why?

Second year in a row that there were errors that prevented acceptance that were not caught by the software. Fixing and refiling is impossible, had to pay to file and then end up mailing the return. Instruction are very unclear and hard to follow.
Cons: Hard to fix issues

My third year with H&R after a few years previously with Tubro. I'm completely satisfied with this software...easy to install from the purchased CD via Amazon. I run the program on a Mac and find nothing that isn't covered including helping with a complicated Stock Sale. Plenty of online answers to questions and very through guidance as I work through the forms.
I didn't feel any need to phone H&R for help but it looks easy enough. And the program promises support if an audit is required. Also, seem less completion of State Return as well as calculating estimated payments for 2017 returns.
"Bravo Zulu" H&R Block....
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare
