Federal tax program works great and reasonably priced, State software works great overpriced, charged for each state software and then charged again for E Filing each state. E filing should be included with software purchase. I will not use the state tax software again at current pricing

I may be looking for a different tax program next

The text in the program is so small, I couldn't read it on my laptop screen. I had to purchase a large monitor to see it. The program would not let me e-file two different states, causing me much more work. When printing my returns, the text was very legible, but my entries were so light I could hardly see the, even though my printer was on the darkest setting. The software was adequate to get the job done. Very expensive.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello HR Block rep - I am hoping you can assist me with a reimbursement of the $19.95 fee for e-filing my state taxes today.
I started doing my taxes using the HR Block software by downloading a copy on Feb. 21 using the activation code from a family member: CPHCPKFE53
On March 12, I went back into the software to continue preparing my taxes, and as usual, I was given the opportunity to upgrade to the Premium version by paying $27.82. Below is a copy of the receipt for that payment. When I was given the opportunity to purchase the Premium upgrade, the option clearly stated that there would be 1 free e-filing of a state return.
I just completed and e-filed my federal and state tax returns today (4/2/25) and at the end of the HR Block program, it required me to pay $19.95 for the e-filing of my state return.
Assuming this was double charging me for state e-filing, can you please reimburse me the $19.95? Feel free to reimburse my Visa card ending in 5663, which I used to pay the $19.95 today.

have used hr block for 25+ years going back to when it was Kiplinger.This year I entered my spouses pin incorrectly and IRS rejected my return. There was no option in BlockSoftware to correct my error and my only option was to print and mail the return (after paying for online federal and state filing)

Have used H&R Block premium for many years. It does the job, I think it’s a little less expensive than Turbotax, but the real problem is that HRB help is terrible. Any questions i lookup get an answer online from Turbotax or chatgpt.
