Excellent, but could be better

I've used the product for, at least, 20 years. It does routine taxes excellently but, that hasn't always been the case for me. I'm now retired military but was on active duty for some of those 20 years. Having to do multiple states and, with a working spouse, the simple answers weren't always that simple. I was also a programmer so, I can appreciate the headaches involved. Your prices are starting to become a little high, especially with all the free filing services coming on board so, if you want to stay competitive, you should address the difficult situations.
I would recommend this to a friend!

2016 Ohio State Tax program

I have completed the entry of all information in regards to my Federal and State of Ohio Returns. I have printed the Federal Return which is ready for filing. However, when I try to print the State of Ohio return, I get a message saying that the Ohio State forms have not been finalized by the State of Ohio. I have tried to perform an Update to my program but the Update Window tells me that no Updates for the State of Ohio program are available. Therefore, I am only able to print Draft Forms which I cannot file, and that Final forms will be available through a program Update. I have now spent the money for this program, but, am not able to make use of it.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I moved to H&R Block 3 years ago after Turbo Tax started adding Extra charges.
Why is Block Charging to E File State after I paid for the Deluxe 2016 Software?
I see that Turbo tax is now offering free state E Files.
After 3 years my 1099s are still not able to transfer (not on banking list)!
going to look hard at returning to Turbo tax for 2017.

Have been using H&R BLock software for past 4 years - installs and works problem-free. I've never had any trouble with it or any audits. Will continue to use.
