Exceptional Tax Tool!!

I buy this software every year to prepare my family's taxes and it seems to get better each time!! Very easy to use, great help tabs, and superior review and assessment. Can't believe I used to do this by hand held calculator and pencils!!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I've complained about this for several years. There is no place on your software to list info for Schedule A Line 8 Other Taxes Can you add this feature in future years?
Also I could not import last years personal info. Maybe it's my iMac
I would recommend this to a friend!

Deluxe 2016 download........had frustrations

Software would not update itself. Numerous attempts went through the prompts, checking updates, downloading, installing, - time after time. The program went into a loop and could not update itself and kept indicating update required. I don't know why, but after about 8 cycles, and time spent checking for a fix, the update required warning went away. Next issue was the data taken from last years H&R generated Adjusted Gross Income was wrong- required for electronic filing - and my initial submittal was rejected by the IRS. I never checked the number as the software announced it was programmed to take the info from last years return.
The rejection notice was easy to follow with where to look for the error and how to make corrections to my return - But the software should not have placed an incorrect 2015 AGI on my return.

Self storage business Pure renta.l Very difficult

You should should make it clear for self storage questions. Most rental questions are confusing . Problem, Self storage uses Schedule E, and no SS is paid on pure rentals.
there are millions of Self storage business in the US.
Please make it clear by calling out in instructions "this is a path for self storage business. If I make one wrong entry the program will put me on schedule C where SS payments are required.
My accountant had me paying SS. , pushing me to H&R Block.

After working as an H&RBlock tax preparer for years, it was logical to use your software at home. I'll never use anything else.

Didn't Prepare Amended Return Properly

Doing my original return was okay. Then I received an additional 1099-INT and additional charitable deductions. I needed to file an amended return 1040X. I followed all the prompts, put in new amounts, etc., and when I printed out the 1040X it didn't take into consideration my prior refund and showed that I was due an amount more than the original refund.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
