Good overall but Fed return kept getting rejected

This year, we tried to e-file and kept getting our federal return rejected because the AGI didn't match. Figured out that it's probably because we filed after the April 15 deadline and there was a miscommunication between H&R Block and the IRS about which year this was for. Too bad it's not possible to report a possible software bug like this to H&R Block.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Horrible, Confusing Software

This is the second year I’ve used H&R Block and both times I’ve been really disappointed. The interface is confusing. The questions are not thorough enough, so the right refund or payment isn’t properly calculated. When there are errors, they are very hard to correct. Frequent upselling going on also.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

CREATED HUGE 2019 PROBLEM

This Tax Program is still running in your system. It has applied the New York estimated tax scheduled amounts for 2018 to my 2019 NY Tax account and Fidelity paid the first 2019 quarter. NOT ACCEPTABLE !!!. I had to manually delete all that were left. Three, one of which was in 2021.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been a long-time user of H&R Block software, but this year's edition is a mess. First, after completing all of the federal e-file items and hitting "Submit" my return wasn't submitted, and it wasn't because of anything missing on my end because all the information was still in the program when I later discovered what happened.
Second... There is no option to print just the 1040 (for my local taxes) or select which of the 6 linked schedules to print; it's all or nothing, and most of the schedules print on a fraction of a page. Talk about a huge waste of paper!!

Very user friendly

I have used your tax preparation software (and its predecessors back to Tax Cut) for many years. I tried a different program for a couple of years but came back to your product. This year for the first time I used it to file an amended return. It was much easier to prepare than I anticipated. The amended returned was even filed for free.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Easy to use, saves money

I have several business, including a retail s corp, a sole proprietorship, and rentals. I have used H&R Block Deluxe for years and have found it easy and thorough. If I have a questions, it is nice to be able to call a professional on their help line and resolve it quickly.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good software for the price

I always use H&R Block software. It is inexpensive and comes with 5 free Federal efiles. Deluxe has added features for the more detailed returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Poor instructions caused me to file late

I completed my return in Feb. After not seeing the check clear I checked status to find out I evidently did not complete the eFile process as I thought
