Still not sure about this

I have used H&R Block's software for years. It has made me nervous a few times, but everything has always turned out ok. A couple of years ago, the IRS was not happy about how some of my income was reported. We received a 1099-Misc, and I eventually found a way to enter it into the program, but not in the right spot. After a year of dealing with the IRS and a few hundred dollars, the IRS was satisfied. I still not sure whether it was my mistake or whether Block's interview didn't cover the situation for that 1099-misc. I guess I am still a little nervous.
Cons: Hard to prepare
Pros: Fast

2016 H&R Block Deluxe with State

This is the third year using this product and I highly recommend it for ease of use, cost, and the free audit support (if needed).
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast

The Statement Explaining Return of IRA Contributio

First of all, just like many of your entries there are insufficient character spaces available to make required entries. Specifically, the statement your program indicates will be included with the 1040 when printed...it simply does not print...and when you select the form and print it from the forms page it comes out with a BOLD PRINTED "NOT FOR FILING'' in the upper right corner.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare, Hard to import
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used program for many years. This is the first time there was an error. The program had automatically inserted incorrect AGI from the previous year. Necessary to override entry.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to import

This is the third year I've used H&R tax software. It's easy to use, and saves my info for the next year returns. Costs less than other programs I've used, too!

It works....that's about it. I wanted to set up my estimated payments for 2017 along with my E-file of 2016, and could not find a way to do that. I will recommend it for very simple returns where they don't pay estimates.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues

Great Product from a Former Turbo Tax Guy

Switched to the H&R product a couple years ago during the big Turbo Tax product features debacle and never looked back. Easy to use and covers all of the bases, I completed our taxes this year ian about 90 minutes and yes I itemize!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Fast

Better than Turbo Tax

I had used Turbo Tax for 17 years and found it cumbersome (interview steps too long) and not so easy to understand on more complex issues. H&R tax software, I found easy to use and to the point. Plus if you ever need help, you can stop by one of their locations. I am an H&R user from now on!
