I have used H&R Block tax software for more than 10 years. I find the programs easier to use (and more accurate) than other products (especially the free online versions). I use the tax hints frequently and once called for help "live" to talk with their tax experts. I highly recommend these products. They are worth every penny!

I have been using these programs for years. Some irritating features persist including when opening a form, it has to be increased to full screen manually. Also some entries are difficult to enter when caught by the checker.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Creates a path through the Tax Tangle

I have used this edition for several years and will continue to do so even though my returns are much simpler than they used to be. I know there are other products available for less, even free, but your program is more than worth the fee. It creates a step by step approach with explanations if needed, but only if needed. I'm sure I'll use you again.

Great Tax Software.

I have been using H&R Block Tax Software since 1995 when it was used to be called TaxCut. The application keeps on getting better.
I have also introduced it to some of my friends who used to use the competitor and they have come to really like H&R Block Tax Software. I always receive my copy directly in the mail. I will like to recommend sending this software on a USB Stick and not CD.

Major shortcomings

I've been using the software for several years and this will be the last year. It's confusing to start. But what's worse is the forms are in such tiny print that I had to use a magnifying glass to figure out what was written. I've never seen software where you couldn't adjust the font size.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did not provide good overview of new tax laws

If I didn't know about the mortgage interest deduction cap on my own I would have missed this. At no point does the program ask for the mortgage value on your loans and I had to manually adjust the 1099's to provide a workaround so I did not take too large of an interest deduction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
