Great Software. It was nice and easy to navigate

I bought it few weeks ago and I am very pleased with this product. It was simple, easy, and smooth to navigate. I love all the features. All the information I needed was available. It was quick, accurate, and easy to use. I was able to upload all my tax forms in the pdf and the software accurately included all the information needed. I will definitely continue using it. Also, support is easily available. I eFiled my TaxReturn and received a prompt email notification from the H&R Block team letting me know when my application was accepted. Great product!

Better than Turbo Tax

Very thorough and easy to use. This helped me get back more money than the free online version of Turbo Tax version which kept trying to make me pay $59 to send the forms to the IRS.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

Easy to use

I have used H&R tax program for 20 years. It is straightforward and easy to use. I particularly like the capability to import the relevant portions of the previous years tax return, such as names, addresses, etc.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Easy Switch from TurboTax

After over ten years using TurboTax, their tedious password reset procedure got to me (I would have to wait until a business day - but I only do taxes on Saturdays!), so I switched to H&R Block. I actually found H&R Block easier to use than TurboTax. It explained that I had an option of whether to claim my daughter’s college expenses or let her claim them.
One feature I especially liked was when I reached the end of entering my income, it asked if we missed any sources of income. I knew I had, but didn’t know which category it was supposed to go under. The software listed a bunch of income categories, I picked the relevant category and was sent to the proper form. Were I still using TurboTax, I would have had to go through the entire interview again and try to guess which screen it should be entered.
One feature I would like to see is a more detailed summary of the things I input. When I am done, before I file, I want to check that I have accounted for all my random pieces of paper. It would be good to see the name of every company I got a W-2 or 1099 from and the total income from it, plus a charity list, mortgage list, property tax number, excise tax list, Soc Sec income, child tax credit, etc. Then I can go through all those slips of paper and forms and see if I missed any. Going through all the tax forms to check this is tedious.
Another thing that would be helpful has to do with the Drivers License entry. Does my state require it? What other forms of id are permitted, if any? Can I use my passport instead? I was not alerted until I tried to E-file at the end that I cannot use an expired license. (I have been delayed in renewing my license due to clerical problems.)
Overall, the experience was smooth and the instructions clear. I will definitely use H&R Block again next year.
