Great, but could be better

They need to add totals to summery pages so that you get a more complete picture of income and deductions. Also summary should contain key info such as Tax as a % of income and deductions needed to exceed standard decution.

My income is primarily from pensions, social security and investment income. The investment income, while modest, generates a lot of 1099s of various types. The H&R Block software ensures I don't miss any income items that I might overlook. It does a great job of making sure I don't miss out on any deductions or take ones that are no longer available under the new tax law. So, when I press the "send" button to e-file, I feel very confident that I've got the job done and done right.

Easy to use

I used to use TurboTax for many many years, but, I decided to try H & R Block Tax software for my 2017 returns as it was a little less expensive. I found the process with H & R Block a bit easier to use and a little bit friendlier interface. This is why I have used it again for my 2018 returns. Since the software imports data from the previous year, 2018 was a relative breeze even though my returns were more complicated this year. I look forward to doing the same for the 2019 returns next year.

Easy to use, but ? Child Care

My daughter shares custody and pays a partion of child care. She is not the custodial Parent. Your software asked whether she was a dependent and I said no. I followed the instructions anda credit of $111 was determined, except theIrs would not accept the return until I deleted the child care deduction/.. Whats up? Is the software wrong?

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe Software to prepare my taxes since 2015 and each year the process seems easier and every bit as thorough than the year before. I have never had any problems with either the Federal or State returns being accepted and have never been audited, so I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend H&R Block Software to anyone who prepares their own tax returns and I will continue to use their software every year also!!

I have used H&R tax programs for many years. I would hate to do my taxes the old fashion way. Instead of paying someone the big bucks. One has to supply the needed numbers to that person. Why not just enter those numbers, in this program and save a lot of money.

Very User Friendly

I have used Turbo Tax for years. The cost continued to increase and I think it could be confusing. I decided to give H&R Block a try, especially when I found out their software would import my previous year's tax information from Turbo Tax. I found it to be more user friendly and more straightforward than Turbo Tax.

I have used H&R Block Deluxe Software every year since 2004. It has always worked very well for me, without a hitch. Excellent tax software!
