LONG TIME USER

I BEEN USING TAX CUT SINCE 1995. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE EASE OF USE. HOWEVER, THIS YEAR I HAD A QBI DEDUCTION ON A TRUST K-1. THE PROGRAM WOULD NOT USE IT ON MY RETURN. SO I HAD TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE WAY TO HAVE IT APPEAR. NOT SURE WHY IT WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT! I TRIED OVERRIDE, BUT THAN NOT ACCEPTABLE TO EFILE.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Could use some upgrading

I've been using TaxCut for 15+ years. For the most part it works fine for me. I do notice handling Form 8938 (Statement of Foreign Financial Assets) is very cumbersome. I have to create multiple copies of the form to enter more than two accounts, instead of just expanding the form. Also, when filling out the form(s), there is no ability to cut and paste from bank statements. All info has to be entered manually.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have been using this HR method for more than 7 years now. We never encountered issues, as they have simplified its use.

With the new Changes in Federal forms, the program fills in all the correct places. Some forms I had never used before because of income and investment source.
Only surprise was State Est. Taxes paid were in the Federal deduction section with no choice in the State form to move directly to the entry change page.

I have used HR Block Tax Software for over 20 years. Its ease of use and my confidence in the software has made this a no brainer! Always up to date on current tax law so I sleep peacefully each day after the tax deadline! Thanks for that!

Simple in some ways, confusing in others

Every year there are user annoyances: sections that seem to lead me in a loop. Sections I seem to have to redo for no apparent reason. Things that don't make sense. It's cheaper than the alternatives, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
