Am generally pleased with the software. However, I find that there is inadequate explanations of what is required. When one clicks on "help" one is directed to the IRS instructions. That, however, is not much help. Further, when one goes to a form and clicks on "where do this come from there are many instances of when the amount clearly come from another schedule but the program claims it is an original entry.
Also,I receive a complex Schedule K-1 and the guidance as to where and how to report the various entries is totally inadequate. Note: I have been using this program for as long as it as been available

I have used H & R Block for several years. This year a had more difficulty than most. The reason: I was confused regarding when to enter my RMD. After I had entered the information once, it seemed to require another entry and this drove up my income and my taxes owed. I had to refer to my last year's fed. tax filing and the prepared 2024 form to find what was making the difference, and what was the correct way to enter the RMD data. I think this aspect of the program needs to be re-worded to give more clarity to the user. Otherwise, the process was fine.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
