Good job on Federal return, but not so on NM state

Federal handled amortization of bond premium correctly, but NM state did not. If I hadn't double checked the interest calculations I would have over paid NM taxes. This is software flaw and should be corrected by HR Block!
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used this tax software for numerous years and is one of the best purchases I have made. It makes doing your taxes so much easier than the hardcopy way. Five free E-files, save PDF and print copies. A great product for me personally.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import

error e-fileing.

Had major problems e-fileing. I had to do it 3 times and still got refused by IRS. Just mailed both returns.

Very reliable accurate tax program

I have been using H&R Block tax software for many years now. It has always handled everything very well, and covers everything I need from income, to real estate, to market assets. Never had an issue that I had to work around.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import

Just as good as TurboTax

Transferred data from TurboTax including carryover tax losses. One negative issue was H&R Block transferred less financial data than TurboTax (had to enter manually). Asked more tax questions (more comprehensive) than TurboTax. However, they did not apply to me so it too me longer to go through to prepare my return.
Cons: Hard to import

need better 529 related dist forms direction,

HR Block needs better 529 related dist forms direction. I had to go online to your competitors site (Turbo Tax/Tax Cut) to get adequate direction an info about how to handle a 1099Q and if I needed to enter anything. you completely missed the ball in this area.

The H&R Block software is very easy to use. The interview questions are straight-forward and easy to understand, however there are additional sidebars if more clarification is needed.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast
