This seems to do okay for federal taxes but is wholly inadequate for state taxes. At a minimum it should allow you to easily compare different methods of filing state taxes. If you choose to file married on separate forms it should allow that and allow you to view and file both sets. If you have to file in two states it should facilitate that.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My biggest issue with the software is there is no simple way to increase the font size!!! And this issue has been there for years. Since I manually input all data anyway, I'm seriously considering other software for next year taxes.

I've been using H&R Block tax software for 20+ years. It's fast, easy, walks me thru all the questions. I feel I spend a minimal amount of time completing my taxes than when we had to round up tax forms and read the detailed instructions prior to on-line/computer based tax programs.
