Who likes taxes?!

Still the best product on the market . . but at least 2 improvements are still necessary to better clarify the interview/instructions for the user: 1. the procedure for handling gas/oil drilling royalties paid to a property owner, who has leased the drilling contract rights to a speculator, is not entirely clear for simply recording the property owners portion of the royalties . . it could be made much simpler and clearer in the instructions . . 2. The procedure for recording a "Required Minimum Distribution" (RMD) for an IRA is particularly confusing, as it tries to combine a straight forward total RMD with a possible variation that most frequently is not the normal case . . those two should absolutely be separated, so as not to confuse the normal entering of the withdrawal of an RMD. I've done my own taxes for 63 years, used this H & R Block program for maybe 10+ years (only one year did I use a Pro, and it's the only year I've ever had an error, lesson learned! . . You take more care and know more about you than anyone else)

I’ve used this for several years and it’s pretty straight forward program. I,like the way it accesses the previous years basic information and populates the form. I like you can review the different elements of the forms and make corrections if needed. The one area it lacked for me this year and perhaps I overlooked it was more explanation on how to enter a Required Minimum Deduction. I finally figured it out to use the 1099R form, but the help section as well as Q&A did not provide any help. It was very frustrating until I figured it out. That part could have been much better.
