Program picks up lots of info from previous year. Only complaint is the charge to e-file my state return.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I've used the program for many years and am generally pleased with the results. However, I am disappointed in the instructions for K-1's. In particular, the instructions for code Z are inadequate. Please, make the necessary improvements.

The only major improvement you can make is to have a separate vertical column showing last year’s figures so you can compare with the current year’s figures and it also helps your customer in case they have forgotten an item.

I gave 3 star because the software system had several mishaps. It downloads repeated lines of 1099B from my brokerage firm and missed several boxes of the form. This caused me redo the process several times. The system reported wide range of results. It was like riding on roller coaster. I was very disappointed with 2024 software.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Have used for several years, every year they seem to improve the product. Free filing pays for the software if you do at least two. I use this for Myself/Wife as well as two kids.
