No problems but

I have never had a problem with software but this year I wanted to do a one of my free returns on a computer out of town and could not figure how to do it without mailing the disc. Either I was doing something wrong or it needs to be a little clearer on how to install on another computer.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Last Fed update needed to have program manually shut down.
Activation code had transposed letters.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare

Easy to Use, But is it Accurate???

I bought the CD, installed it, updated it (I thought), and filled in all the questions. It computed my taxes and decided a had a refund coming. It didn't offer me the ability to decrease my income via IRS Pub 721 but when I called Tax Help the guy convinced me it had.
THEN, when I finished up and filed, I decided I wanted both the copy offered and the PRINT file copy. They were different in gross income and adjusted gross income. Then today. when I opened it to check on my refund, it Updated again! And says there is ANOTHER update coming the 15th of March. Was the program correct and complete? I'll never know...
So: I don't know how accurate it is, how accurate my filing was, and if my income was adjusted downward for my contributions, i.e. the IRS Pub 721 adjustment for contributions to my pension plan.
I guess you get what you pay for...this didn't cost much, doesn't take long to use...and "maybe" accurate. Or, not.

I use HR Block Deluxe every year. Easy to use, especially with DeductionPro!

Exceeded Expectations

Since retiring in 1996, I have prepared my Tax Returns on Turbo-tax because Fidelity Investments has referred me there gratis. This year I was not and had to chose. By comparison HR offered more for less cost. I had reservations about transferring data from Turbo and Fidelity over to this software. Wow! Everything went smoothly and both Federal and NYS returns were completed within two hours. This program exceeded all my expectations, and I intend to be a long term customer.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!
