Tenth Year with H&R but found 2 Issues this year.

Had problems Importing Capital Gains data from Fidelity. The entities had a red ! by each entry. Also, it combined 2 different accounts data into one. The other problem I am having, STILL, is in printing the forms after sending the Efile return. The PRINT emblem is below the bottom of my screen so that I cannot select it. I need help to print out my return. Please contact me.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Bought through HR Block Online. Like ease of use of product. Bit of a cost increase this year though.

Not as easy to use as the free version so it could use a better user interface.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have used this software since the 90's. Improvements over the years has made it an excellent choice. I prefer to use a program not dependent on the internet. Once software is updated you can disconnect from the internet and still complete your taxes. I like and feel more secure having my tax info on my machine and not at a tax prep site that I can't be 100% sure about.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

TWO OF THE SAME SOFTWARE

I PURCHASED TWO OF THE SAME SOFTWARE I DID THE SAME RETURN ON BOTH THEM BUT GOT DIFFERENT ANSWER WITH SAME TAXABLE INCOME OF$24,129 ONE ANSWER WAS TAX DUE$2,997 THE OTHER WAS TAX DUE$2,937
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Property Tax has a mandatory entry

If you pay a bank interest on a loan you have to put in an entry for property tax. I am a disabled veteran and I don't have to pay property taxes in my city but I did pay interest on a home equity loan. I put in an entry just to get by the restriction.
