Federal ok, PA state return confusing and glitchy

In some cases, in particular when entering S-Corp income tax information (not for filing an S-Corp's taxes), the interview question method is confusing in terms of the flow of questions as it doesn't follow the K-1 form very well, same goes for the PA state RK-1 input. In these cases, it would be much better to query in a way similar to W2 input where it is line by line using box numbers. Also, it is unfortunate that they claim to be able to import from other tax software but they don't support the desktop versions in doing so. Ads should be more clear to this effect. State program also ignores when I decline to have it prepare a local return - tries to do so anyway.

Missing imprtant feature

Although easy to use if I have no questions, a "search" feature in the help files would be a definite improvement. Also, some of the less frequent items are given an inadequate description.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
Pros: Easy to import, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good until the last update - then bad

I was very pleased with the software - been using it for years. But the last update was garbage. I ran the update 3 times before it let me open the program so I could file. Then every time I tried to efile it said I had to run the update. I finally had to mail my return it. DID ANYONE TEST THAT UPDAT!!!! IT APPEARS THE ANSWER IS NO!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The instructions are very simple. The program covers everything you need to complete taxes. All you have to do is answer questions. It saves hundreds of dollars compared to an individual tax preparation expert who will ask the same questions.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast

Bought this software thinking I can just use the code to register online. I don't have a CD drive on my laptop, which would be silly for me to buy a hardcopy of the software, but I would imagine that there would be an option to download the software from the website and apply the code. There was not. Furthermore I'm trying to log on to hrblock website to review my filing, but apparently if u file using the tax software, you don't actually have an account to access online and would need to access it using the software ... which makes it a pain if you're trying to pull your tax returns from a computer than the one with installed the software on.

I've used H&R Block tax software for several years. It get easier all the time.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
