Updates don't work / Accuracy Review doesn't work

Have spent 1 hour trying to download an update. Tried disabling firewalls. No good. Tried manually downloading from website. No good. Restarted computer every time I tried these things. Will never buy this software again. Turbotax can't be worse.
Cons: Hard to install
Pros: Maximizes refund

After using this product successfully for years, this year when I really didn't need any more strife, I found it very cumbersome. Since my husband died, while I wanted to file the federal MFJ I was required to fill our PA state returns MFS. When I was told to fill out the federal MFS I assumed that it would be separate from the one I had already done but the message received was that I would lose the MFJ! With and extensive Sch D-- that was not an option for me. When I called for assistance , after being shuttled around and listening to lots of music someone mentioned right clicking on the PA form to override. This meant changing most of the items in the already MFJ form with my husband's info, printing out 2 copies (one to file and one for my records- since that would be erased when I did mine), then replacing that info with mine. I realize that it was not an often used situation but I think the programmer needs to check it out. Having taught the AARP Tax course for 15 years I had no trouble doing the overrides (except for the inconvenience and time consumed)but oh, my, what nasty messages I kept getting from your program.

Federal payment option in interview incorrect

The payment option on the interview included the automatic withdrawal option from my bank account -- which isn't actually available yet! I kept getting rejection errors when e-filing, and finally was able to isolate the problem to the software vs. form options! ugh. I've used H&R Block since it was TAXCUT, and loved it. Not this year.. lots of angst and wasted time.. boo

Easy and a breeze to follow

I've bought this line for the last 3 years, after using Turbo Tax for many years. I understand numbers but doing taxes make me nervous! This program takes the worry out of it. I also love that if feels like they comp your filing fee! I will continue to purchase this for a long time, thank you.

All-around Solid Tax Software

After using TurboTax and TaxAct, I was looking for something better. HRB Deluxe is the answer. Well-organized and clear process. Fairly complete, with the exception of support for K-1s. Fair price. I'll be back!

Excellent software design. Household goods donation feature very nice. It helps to have some understanding of taxes but it is a lot easier than TurboTax.
I buy my software from resellers. It is unethical of you to prospect their customers the next year.

As always it was easy to use. I did get frustrated with the addition of the 100 form for school tax. There was no place to put, nor did the info come forward with the amount already withheld so I could not use the printed form as it said I owed what I had already paid. The worksheet also listed that I lived in Crawford county when in fact I live in Huron County
