I have used H&R Block tax preparation software for many years. This may be the last. My concern is that the price for the software seems to be increasing dramatically every year.I am not sure what the justification is for the price increases. There are no CDs or mailings.your advertisements and delivery of the product are all done electronically. If you do not decrease your prices , you will lose many of your formerly loyal customers.

A good system for federal taxes but not for state. This year seemed to be fine so far, but last year when we filed it said we were supposed to get 4000 back in state from where we built a house and we only received 400. When we called IRS they said sometimes the systems aren't correct... so we were just out the money we were expecting to help catch us up on bills.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I find this product to be simple, filled with helps, information and accurate. I now will be going to a simpler version next year as my returns have become mostly routine.
