I have used H&R Block Tax Software and Tax Cut for many years. It is the only tax software I have used so it is hard for me to make any comparisons with other programs. Overall it has been responsibly priced and is fairly easy to use and intuitive as it follows the questioning sequence through the program. Being able to import data into the program from previous years is a big plus. Unfortunately I will no longer be using your tax software since you have not seen it appropriate to include the ability to import tax data from JP Morgan Chase. I have moved all my securities to JP Morgan Securities and find it tedious and tiring entering the data by hand into your program. I had hoped that you would have included this option in your 2023 version but I was disappointed to find it was still not available. I even called your help desk to see if they could help me connect but they were unsuccessful as well. I know that TurboTax includes the ability to import from JP Morgan Securities/Chase so I will spend the extra money for 2024 and purchase their tax program. I hate to change and have to learn the ins and outs of a new program but I have given H&R Block ample time to correct this issue. Thanks

The state program is a joke: Calculate the correct value for this entry and put it on Line 18. In other words, we have to figure it out ourselves; Google the state instructions, analyze how to calculate, calculate; then type our answer on H&R Block's form. NOT helpful !

The tax software generated an IRA contribution when none was made for the year in question. The problem was never resolved. Leaves questions of possible other inaccuracies in the software code.
