Dead Ends - not a good thing in tax software

Ok, but in several places it left me hanging. Kind of like a highway under construction but not finished. Had to dig through the help, and backtrack.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Two main issues I have
1) You cannot electronically submit after October 15th (6 month extension), your software gives some error, like processing for next year and implies its someone else's fault, when its completely yours. Effectively this makes electronic filing impossible, since I'm still waiting for the IRS to process my last 2 previous years returns filed over 7 months ago. This drama of the IRS taking over a year to process returns has been going on since 2020 when they started storing their unopened mail in semi trailers at the post office closest to the IRS office..

2. Your import of stock trades is rubbish, period, it completely jacks up the transactions, leading to me having to manually enter the info, so tedious. Also you cant import for the very same reason as #1 from the institutions. Again you place these arbitrary date restrictions on your software.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked for me with a fairly complex return - K-1s

Worst Experience Ever

I have been happily using this product for years, but this year... I couldn't update the program on my PC running Windows 11. I put it on my old laptop that is on its last leg and was finally able to get the program to work. When it came time to efile the HRBlock servers were down. I continued to try for 24 hrs until I gave up at noon on the day of filing deadline. I then had to go to the IRS and 2 states to file for an extension and pay what I owed. I will be switching software for 2024!
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
