I have used this tax software for 20+ years and find it easy to use and the auto refund is fastt.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I could not e-file for some unexplained reason. While the message was that my return had problems with one or more forms. But, the software wasn't advanced enough to specify which specific form was causing the problem. The message was worthless.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

two years in a row, 2018 and 2019, the download of Virginia state income tax forms got glitchy. Repeatedly made to download "updates" for the federal form before I could use the state forms. None of the updates worked. Will never buy HRB again
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I have been using the H&R Tax Software for years because it is straightforward, easy to use and navigate and they have help screens along the way of filling it out that help you with inputting the required information. It makes me feel comfortable using this for my taxes.

H&R Block tax software are easy to use and user friendly for anyone that knows or don't know taxes. The software walks you through step by step and provides information if you have questions, just as if a preparer was right there with you.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
